It’s Saturday night and while normal people are out partying (it’s Carnival season after all), entrepreneurs are home, or out trucking their businesses. The work never ends!
However it is important to take a time-out every now and then, so you don’t suffer from burn out. And you don’t want that! So that’s what my blog is to me….a much needed time-out.
The year and month is off to a great start. Sit with me, kick off your shoes and grab a glass of wine or cup of tea while I recap.
If you were following my earlier posts in January…you would know that I took my computer in for repairs on Monday. While a couple doors closed, one very important one opened.
Had I closed it prior to this, I would have never discovered what was hidden behind. I had the two most awesome and fun days figuring it out (though not fully yet). But that’s another blog…in time.
I’ve rekindled a few friendships this week and discovered some new ones. Again, sometimes you need to grow apart for a while in order to grow together. Time holds the answer to these and other life relationships.
I met with my business/life coach on Wednesday. As expected, our session was a whole tonne of awesomeness. Professional. Productive. Eye-opening and just plain amazing.
This was me before and after our coaching session 🙂
What I learnt about myself and my business strategy
I discovered I’ve been subliminally feeding myself the wrong messages on a subconscious level.
Yeah! I was.
And this could explain why certain things resulted in my business and personal life. Wow! That was deep just typing it. lol.
While I enjoyed some really great milestones over the past 2 years in business, this was just the tip of the iceberg. I was missing that extra umph to take to me to the next level.
I kinda knew what I needed to do, yet I wasn’t doing it. Why? Maybe I lacked the motivation! Or impetus. Or knowledge of the different steps and approach to take to actually get the ball rolling.
I’ve done A LOT of research the first few months of business and I know even coaches need coaches. So I am no exception (although my area is motivation.)
Suffice it to say, I can’t wait for my next session. It’s all kinds of exciting when you connect with like-minds.
On Thursday and Friday I spoke to a couple (male) customers who bought my book last year…that of course I will delve deeper into in another blog.
Saturday I caught up with an old friend and her two kids for an ice-cream escape. Kids say the darnest things. I am always amused how little people think at that age. So hard to remember how I used to be.
Then I stopped by another friend’s office on the way home who introduced me to another amazing entrepreneur and designer! Wow!! You will hear about that in weeks to come.
Drinks and the cheesiest Chinese food followed!! We laughed all the way home 🙂
This evening I caught up on Skype with my web designer and soon my real work resumes. Sunday I do two interviews for the newspaper I write for and make plans for another awesome week!!
The fun never ends. My funk has lifted and the year is off to a great start. Keeping busy is the key.
Live your passion. Breathe it. Feel it in your pores. Speak your goals into action. And LIVE YOUR BEST LIFE!!!
2016 is going to be an incredible year!
